Port to Port Challenge

Because i thought there wasnt enough going on, Boob and i (mainly boobs) arranged another Port to Port Challenge against the Rowers.

It will be on the 18th of March-ish. TBC.

We cycle and row on exercise machines on top of the union . We cycle from Plymouth to Skomer Island, then Row Skomer to Cork. Charity yet to be confirmed.

You will cycle for 20mins ish and row for 20mins ish.

This is a good opportunity for people not involved in the record attempt to get involved in a Club event.

I need around 10 -15 people to vollenteer, boys and girls, ideally some freshers.

Who is game?
- Please post on the banter board.

Coaching Scheme

Hey guys,

I sent an email out to as many people as possible in the club about a coaching scheme we are running this year.

A quick summary - over a period of 4-6 weeks members of UPHC will run hockey sessions at local primary schools in plymouth once a week. Two members will travel to each school. Doing this will be a way of giving back to the community. Plymouth city council will then sponsor us up to 70% of the cost of a Level 1 Coaching Course. Further funding may come from the Primary Schools involved.
The aim is to prepare the kids with teh skill necessary to compete in a hockey competition at Marjons in June.

All you need to do is get a CRB check - forms can be obtained from Portland Villa;s - HR centre.

Contact Beadle for further info or if you are interested in this opportunity.
